EDP EV.X app

The EDP EV.X app is a mobile phone application designed to help the drivers understand what their daily life would be like with an electric car (EV) and whether it is the right choice for them.

It automatically records the user’s trips on a regular car (internal combustion) and compares it with any electric vehicle of their choice (all EV models available in Portugal are included). It thus attempts to clarify all questions regarding range anxiety, lack of information about charging options and potential savings with an EV – which are the most common barriers to make the switch to an EV.

Once enough trips have been analysed, EV.X app also provides customers with a detailed report about their mobility pattern and comparisons with the EV of their choice.
